Middle School English Teacher

Parker School seeks a Middle School English Teacher to instruct students in a college-preparatory environment. This part-time faculty member will teach three full-year classes of English, communicate with students, families and colleagues, fulfill faculty duties, and participate in extracurricular activities.

Qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) and prior experience in an English teaching position.

This full-time faculty member will teach five full-year classes of physics and math, communicate with students, families and colleagues, fulfill faculty duties, and participate in extracurricular activities.

Qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree in a related field (advanced degree preferred) and prior experience in a physics or math teaching position.

Headmaster’s Assistant

Parker School seeks a part-time Headmaster’s Assistant to support the Headmaster in the organization, planning, and execution of school activities, events and communications while maintaining high levels of confidentiality.

Qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree and prior experience in an administrative position. Experience in a private or public school setting is preferred.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: ability to maintain accuracy in multi-task orientated environment; proficiency in Microsoft Office software, with a focus on Outlook and Word; effective and professional, verbal and written communication with all school constituents.

Spanish Teacher:

Parker School seeks a Spanish Teacher to instruct upper school students in a college-preparatory environment.  This full-time faculty member will teach 4-5 preparations of Spanish spanning high school levels 1-5, communicate with students, families and colleagues, fulfill faculty duties, and participate in extracurricular activities.

Qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred), prior experience in a Spanish teaching position, and Spanish language fluency as determined by ACFL standards.  A Spanish teaching certificate from an accredited program is preferred and Advanced Placement certification is desirable.

Music Teacher:

Parker School is seeking experienced candidates for a K-5, part-time music teaching position.  This part-time position entails 8 teaching hours per week. The lower school music teacher will produce at least one music concert showcasing the students per year.

Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s degree in music or related field and experience teaching music to elementary school students.

Applicants should be versed in dynamic music pedagogy for this age group and have strong behavior management skills and techniques. Additionally, applicants should be able to teach recorders, ukulele and other musical instruments. They should be willing to work alongside classroom teachers and other specialists.
